During the first period, the rug may shed significantly; this is part of the process for this natural fibre. Loose fibres are easy to remove with a vacuum cleaner using a furniture brush. If the natural fibres are coloured, they are also sensitive to discolouration. Keep the rug out of direct sunlight. A cotton rug has a soft, breathable structure and offers a comfortable feeling underfoot. With new cotton, slight deformation may occur in the initial period as the fibres settle. This is completely normal and part of the natural fibre process. Cotton can also shed a little in some cases, but this usually disappears after a short period of use.
