The Silas TV cabinet is made of black, FSC-certified ash and is from the collection of the Dutch brand WOOOD. The Silas series has a contemporary modern look and offers a good basis for the interior.

Material

This piece of furniture is made of ash wood (finger jointed), has been sanded and is lacquered in the colour blacknight. Ash wood is a slightly soft wood with a tight, straight grain. The straight grain pattern ensures that ash wood can be bent well, which makes ash wood very suitable for the furniture industry. Treated ash wood is strong and hardwearing, but untreated ash wood can show a lot of movement and quickly yellow. Sanded ash gives a neat, smooth look. Brushed ash has more character and band sawn ash has a very robust and rough look.

Dimensions

The Silas TV cabinet has a height of 60,5 cm, a width of 180 cm and a depth of 44 cm. The two drawers have a width of 121 cm and a height of 13 cm. The cabinet on the right has one shelf (of chipboard) and is closed with a door, hxw 37x50.1 cm with leather. The dimensions of this section are hxw 41x50 cm. The TV cabinet has a hole for concealing cables.

Care instructions

Treated ash is easy to clean with a slightly damp, clean cloth. Stains on untreated ash wood can be removed with an absorbent, clean cloth. If stains are stubborn, ash wood can easily be re-treated. Sand the wood to 180 grit, then protect the ash wood with an oil, wax, varnish or stain of your choice. Untreated ash wood is not suitable for outdoor use.
