Material
The MDF board material in our collections is formed from compressed wood fibers that are bonded under high pressure using resin. This gives the material a very smooth surface. The MDF in our collections is always pre-treated with a strong primer and finished in a color.

Maintenance
The advantage of pressed board material is that it will not splinter or warp. However, the material is vulnerable when damaged. Due to the highly absorbent nature of damaged or untreated MDF, the board material can deform when it comes into contact with moisture.
